Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga is an energy moving yoga practice. From the Kundalini Yoga perspective, we all have potential energy stored at the base of our spine. As we awaken that energy and distribute it through the main energy centers of the body, we awaken to a more wholehearted existence while raising our vibrational frequency! When our vibrational frequency raises, we begin to feel joyous, energetic, focused, and connected!

Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness. Ultimately, we all want to be healthy, creative and free. The practice of Kundalini Yoga helps us get to a state of oneness. We are not bogged down in the past, but rather feel free to accomplish what we are meant to accomplish. Kundalini strengthens us physically and mentally, builds up and repairs the systems of the body.

Kundalini Yoga works with specific kriyas, pranayama, and meditation to create specific results. Repetitive movement performed with specific breath and mantra puts appropriate stress on the nervous system and organs. As a result, the practice produces an environment in the body and mind that promotes resilience and self-healing.

About the Instructor

Kathy started out as a Hatha Yoga Instructor and discovered Kundalini yoga at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge Massachusetts. She attended Kundalini training in Joshua Tree California after noticing there wasn’t many classes offered near her. Kathy is thrilled to be able to teach Kundalini Yoga in person, so that students may feel the collective energy that practicing in a physical space together creates!
